Grayling page 0804 Transcription

In the first panel, Cal is walking briskly down a path with a large bag on his back, like a backpack but with a drawstring. His diary reads, "The last Friday of every month, I walk to the village with our crops to contribute to the food co-op..."

In the second panel, Cal is walking away from a cheerful old lady, his arms full of produce. His diary reads, "I really hated the idea at first, but I came to enjoy it."

Cal is looking worried in the third panel, as Lem and Rae talk in the background. Cal is washing a dish. His diary reads, "My first few months here, I rested and I learned to do all these chores."

In the last panel, Cal's face is really close up, and he looks horrified and scared. His diary reads, "Now I miss those days. Because -- Because --"
