In the first panel, Lem has sat down on the couch next to Cal. Cal is despondent, his head lowered. A melcey and a nillit look on. Lem says, "Look, Cal. Are you taking your meds & following your schedule?"

In the second panel, Cal looks up, grimacing. He says, "You know I have to. May & Rae won't leave me alone if I don't."

In the third panel, Lem looks alert, going into "authority figure chiding you" mode. He says, "Knock off that stinky talk. Having and fulfilling obligations to yourself is good for you. When you struggle, May & Rae help you."

In the fourth panel, Cal puts his head back in his hands, but still appears to be listening. Lem says, "Things are going well. You're improving, even if it's taking a bit longer. It's not all bad, right? Or do you miss using fruit as a prosthetic & eating dead leaves?"

In the fifth panel, Cal looks a tiny bit re-energized. He looks off to the side as the nillit approaches the back of his head. Cal says, "No. You're right. This is better." Lem responds from off-panel, "Thank you! Good."

In the sixth panel, Lem sips his wine as Cal starts trying to explain more. Cal says, "For the job thing...I'm not sure how to go about handling souls en masse."

In the seventh panel, we see a diagram of Cal gazing at a soul hovering in the air as Cal continues to speak. "I can do it if it's just one, and I know where it is. But finding them, gathering them, identifying...That's all dark."

Lem looks relieved in the last and eighth panel. He says, "Oh, is that all? I know exactly what to bring tomorrow, then."
