Grayling page 0847 Transcription

In the first panel, Rae and Lem's heads are visible as they walk through the night, the snow still lightly falling. In the second panel immediately after, they both look up as the snow suddenly increases, white blotting out the darkness.

In the third panel, snow already accruing on his head, Lem says, "Oh, it's finally snowing for real instead of just drifting around."

In the fourth panel, we see Lem and Rae from above, among the tree branches. Snow is falling thickly all around, and they have started leaving footprints behind them in the deepening white. The trees are supporting big clumps of snow on their dark branches. Rae walks ahead of Lem slightly, asking, "Do you think Garenga will be soon?" Lem, staring off to the side, replies, "Hold on a sec, Rae."

In the fifth panel, Rae stops, looking a bit scared again, his cheeks flushed. "Huh?" says Rae. Lem is still looking off to the side, to their right, staring upwards. Lem says, "Shh, look!"

We see more tree trunks in the sixth panel, but some very long legs have also appeared. Long, muscular legs tinted in blue, yellow, and purple are striding among the trees past the boys.

In the seventh panel, the camera pans up on the creature, and see that it is some kind of long, spindly dragon like creature. It has a long neck ending in a small, red head, and a thick, thorny clump of colorful horns or feathers coming out of its back, where wings normally are on a dragon. Its tail is bizarrely flat and flat from side-to-side, and displays a rainbow of blue, pink, green, and yellow.
